The skin specialists at Combray often hear that the new users of the Combray oils after a few days get drier skin or the feeling that the skin tightens.
That is completely normal. At Combray we call this the detox effect of the skin. If the skin has been used to other products for a long time, the skin must “reset”. The skin is often used for products with ingredients such as water, sometimes perfumes, and other additives. These ingredients lay on the skin, as they cannot penetrate the permeable layer of the skin. Combray Facial Oil does penetrate the skin to the correct skin layer because the oil has a smaller molecule, so the skin has to get used to that there is no layer on the skin. This ensures that the skin can temporarily become or feel drier.
The detox effect occurs with all Combray oils. The “dry period” often occurs after about 7 days and can last for 12 days, the skin has to go through this. After the “dry period” you will notice that the skin quickly recovers and the skin feels silky soft again. We recommend you to take a sample bottle with you everywhere during the day during this period and apply a few drops if the skin feels tight.
